Starbase Research Laboratory
This is the Starbase Research Laboratory, where you can send your unknown specimens for analysis by your top Starbase scientists and technicians. There are several worktops and benches to help with the RP and plenty of tech controls and displays to inspect and check on. At one end of the Labs is the sliding access door, which has custom textures. You can open or close it with a touch. You can also control it by chat with "open lab" or "close lab". And you can lock or unlock it by chatting "lock lab" or "unlock lab". Lighting. There is a set of blue neon lights running along the top edges of the ceiling that can be switched on or off by touching them. This also turns on/off the external signs that are on the sides of the Lab. Technical Equipment At the far end of the Labs is a powerful high-tech Data Research computer system that pulses with a changing display of glowing beams of plasma bars. You can turn the movement on or off by touching the frame. Operator Station At one side of the Nano-particle Analysis Chamber is a three-screen operator station with a keyboard and a seat. You can sit on this while operating the Analysis Chamber. It has a couple of poses, including an animated one for operating the equipment. The Operator Station is connected to the wall by a magnetic plate - just touch the surface of the plate and watch it auto-align. | The Nano-particle Analysis Chamber. The analysis chamber can release a cloud of nano particles that envelope the specimen. The nanobot cloud is pumped down from the nanobot generator, built into the ceiling of the Chamber. You can touch the nanobot generator to turn it on and off. The nano particles circulate within the Chamber, but they never leak through the sides, even when you forget to close the glass column. The cloud is a yellow-brown in colour but the particles turn black as they are deactivated and are automatically extracted as new ones are pumped in. When you turn it off, you can watch the thick cloud gradually being withdrawn back up into the generator by powerful internal fans. The Chamber has a large transparent cylindrical screen that can be lowered slowly over a specimen. You can do this by simply touching the side of the cylinder to raise or lower it. Rez your specimen on the Chamber base, touch the ceiling nano-bot generator and then touch the walls of the transparent screen to lower it down as the nanobots perform their work. You can also use the Nano-particle Analysis Chamber to run a check on humans or other bipedal species. There is a built-in pose in the pedestal base. If you sit on the base, you will appear standing in the center of the pedestal, in the perfect position for a thorough analysis. Notes:
