Hover Bike Jump on your Hover Bike and hang on to your helmet when you need a fast personal transport to get you around the bases on the colony (or anywhere else in SL). They also look great when there's several of them flying around in packs. Just sayin'. Features include:
Drift-Park: As a bonus, the on-board inertia monitors will detect when you have stopped moving and will assume you want to land. After a few seconds, it will begin to let your craft drift gently down to the surface. Use this auto-landing feature to bring yourself down perfectly for a precise landing every time, or press the arrow keys to override it and continue flying. Headlight: There's a powerful working headlight on the front of the Hover Bike. Touch it to turn it on or off. Looks great at night for low-level surface skims. Parking Up: If you stand up while still flying, the hover bike will maintain it's height and lock it's geostationary position. So, you can park next to a high landing platform or the top of a docking column by hopping out of your pilot's seat when you're in position. It's then safe leave the vehicle. Your Hover Bike is bio-locked so only you can fly it. Adjustments: It's all copy and mod, so if you want to move the steering handles to fit your avatar size, feel free to do so. You can manually adjust and edit the position of the seat and the control assembly to best fit your avi's shape. Make sure the Bike's rotation coords are all set to zero before you move the handlebars and the support. And make sure you're not sat on the Bike. | Flying the Hover Bike: Simply touch the bike or right-click the pilot seat and select "board". Once you're seated, you'll hear the powerful anti-grav engines kick in and you'll begin to hover gently. Now, you can use the forward/back arrow key to adjust speed, use the left/right arrow keys to steer, and use the PgUp and PgDn keys to climb and drop. Once you're moving, you'll see the thrust jet streaming from the rear as you steer... Hold the Ctrl key down while using the left/right arrow keys to perform a sideways strafe manoeuvre. You can carry out some snazzy moves once you've got the hang of it. Landing: You can use PageDown key to descend. Once you have landed, just say "stop" or simply stand up and the engine will cut out automatically. Security: The Hover Bike is bio-locked, a security feature that only allows the owner to fly the hover bike. You won't have any worries of someone else flying off with it. when you've parked it If they want to fly one, tell them to get their own! These craft are all scaled perfectly for use with the Exosphere Modules such as the Landing Terminal and the Landing Bay. |
