Docking Station tube with two FREE Neo-Glide personal vehicles. Features:
Congratulations, ensign. You are about to to receive a Neo-Glide Duo, a small, personal, two-seater spacecraft that can be used for personal transport around the outside of your Starbase. The Neo-Glide is capable of flight in the planetary atmosphere as well as deep space, and can even function under water. There is also a special docking tube airlock that you can use as a garage. The Neo-Glide is very easy to fly. Just sit on it and you'll find yourself in the pilots seat with the anti-gravity engine engaged and the craft hovering gently. It has a protective transparent bubble canopy that rotates open on touch or chat command. It also has a passenger seat at the rear to allow an additional crew member to join you. Docking Tube Module: The docking tube has a pair of synchronised airlock doors, so only one of the two doors of the tube can be open at any one time. This is so you can't enter the airlock from the corridor while the external door is open. You can touch any door to open or close it, but it will automatically close the other door first. There's seats on either side that can accommodate multiple sits and a bank of pulsing green lights around the rim of the external airlock door. It has proximity floor lights that switch on during docking. It also has glass sides and a transparent door - handy to see if the Docking Tube is empty without entering. You get the docking tube module and two Neo-Glide vehicles. One is set for your own personal use and the other is set for public use, so anyone can fly it. The private one has orange sidelights and the public one has green sidelights Flight Manual Fast Summary: To Take Off: (1) Stand close, (2) say "open canopy", (3) sit in it, (4) say "close canopy", (5) press & hold arrow keys to fly... To Land: (1) Fly craft down to surface, (2) say "open canopy", (3) stabnd up & get out, (4) say "close canopy", (5) walk off. | Pilot's Notes. You can touch the glass canopy to open or close or you can say "open canopy" or "close canopy". Make sure you're or sat inside it or nearby or it won't hear you. Remember to operate the glass canopy before getting in or out (especially out). (To close the canopy manually, you can touch the Red and Black striped edge, while sitting in it). The lights can be turned on or off by touching either one of the front lights. They will glow and produce real SL lighting effects. However, you can only switch them on or off while you are sitting in the craft. The Neo-Glide's anti-gravity engine will kick in as soon as it detects someone sitting in the pilots seat and it will deactivate when you stand up. You'll hear the anti-gravity engine powering up. Once you're seated, the craft will hover gently. You can use the arrow keys as flight control. These act as both steering and thrust. It's as intuitive as walking - the plasma thruster will stream from the back while you're moving. You can also strafe sideways for some fancy movements - just hold down the control key and use the left or right arrow keys. During flight, if you bring the craft to a halt, the anti-gravity engine will reduce its power and begin to very slowly descend. You can use this to land in tight spaces, by positioning yourself over them and allowing it to drop down gently. If you re-engage the engine, the anti-gravity will cut back in again. If you exit the craft while flying (not advisable) it will hold its position until you can find your way back to it. If your physical avatar shape doesn't fit well inside the canopy (i.e. your hands aren't on the steering bars), you can manually adjust the Steering Column so they fit you snugly. Note that this is probably the safest way to make this adjustment. (unless you're a qualified Starfleet Vehicle Engineer). Altering anything else may end up with the Neo-Glide being unpredictable. If that happens, delete it and rez another, Any problems, contact me. |
