Starbase Fringe Science Laboratories | The Fringe Science Research labs. Each of the 8 labs comes with a full featured equipment and a magnetic plate, to attach to one of the rear bay walls. Here's what you get included with the labs: Necrobiology Laboratory: The study of life after death. Or possibly, zombies. You get what looks like a female dead body under a sheet on a trolley, some handy reference wall-mounted charts, a human skeleton (on a stick) and a mesh disecting table with a wash pipe. There's samples of unknown skeletons and dead body parts visible in boxes around the shelves. And a powerful computer to analyse it all. But be aware that something may still be alive in that tray of squrming green slime under the discecting table... Dark Matter Laboratory: This is the strange substance that may be the secret power source of the universe. You get a large Dark Matter containment mesh cylinder with a glowing, pulsing core. There's a workbench and a couple of animated display on the wall monitoring the core and running a video of the core's stability. Cryptozoology Laboratory: This is the study of hidden or unknown life forms. There are rare fossils mounted on the wall, and even a small dinosaur in suspended animation in a glass case in the corner. At the end is a mesh dissection table, which has a couple of adjustable poses built into it. Just touch and sit and be prepared to receive the probes. Bio-Weapons Laboratory: Here you will find dangerous bio-weapons and species-destroying viruses. We have several canisters of deadly substances. And there's even a toxic pathogen delivery system encased in a protective glass frame. (Looks like a gun to me) Parallel Worlds Laboratory: The Fringe Science Division have managed to create a link between our world and another parallel world. Unfortunately, one of the crew members is caught between the two worlds! You can see them sliding in and out of existence as they fall through the tunnel. There's an animated graphics display on a plasma panel on the side wall, showing attempts to communicate with the lost crew member. Good luck with that! Time Portal Laboratory: Fringe scientists have managed to create an artificial wormhole in the very fabric of time. You can see the enclosed wormhole twisting and squirming inside the force field. We've included particle effects, moving textures and light effects - and a video on the wall shows the insides of the warping wormhole.. Quantum Storage Laboratory: With so much tech equipment required for the research labs, the Fringe Division has created a quantum storage unit to miniaturise and store all the lab kit when not in use. You can see containers and storage crates along with a display info-board. Computer Room Laboratory: This is where all the weird data is collected and analysed. You get a server stack and a couple of animated computer displays. In the corner there is a dedicated processor displaying strange hieroglyphics. Nothing makes any sense, yet. It's waiting for your RP. |
