The X-Walls [3] - Advanced Expansion Pack: Hi-tech sci-fi building units with auto-align technology. IMPORTANT: This is the Advanced Pack of walls to compliment the X-Walls Standard Pack. You'll need the Standard Pack in order to get the most from these expansion pack walls. X-walls come in various packs:
The X-walls Advanced Pack: (over 40 walls and pieces) This pack contains even more variety of walls, windows, doors, lights, and interior features. These walls have working parts & special effects. They're bristling with mesh & sculptie details along with Exosphere's trademark dark, deep-space feel to them. And they contain some eagerly-awaited functional features! Some of the highlights of this expansion pack include: Lights: Several walls have various banks of lights. Some are vertically mounted while others are aligned in a horizontal strips. You can touch the lights to turn them on or off and they'll have real SL lighting effects. Windows: New windows, too, with large oval ones, tinted ones, internal ones and a set of mesh porthole walls, with double and quad portholes. Doors: Theres an eye-popping 3-D mesh sliding metal door and a deep- mine, double-grating door in a circular frame. The lockable door will open on touch or when approached. Double-width walls: A new set of double-width walls is included, with garage doors wide enough to roll a tank through & even converts to a ramp when opened. And a double-width window with a built-in blast door. Touch the door (or say "open blast door" or "close blast door") to activate it, and watch it grind slowly down to seal off the room. There's a huge metallic structure built into one of the special double-width walls, that has its own triple lighting system. Touch the wall to switch them on or off. | Teleports: You get both an up teleport and a down teleport. Touch the base of a teleport and an animated plasma beam will appear. Then, enter the beam and touch it and you will be teleported 10 meters up (or down). You'll need to decide what's waiting at the other end. It could be a room or a corridor in the next level. You don't need to have a teleport at the destination, but it's good design if you do so. You can have any number of these scattered around your base, so you can reach any level in your structure. Escape Hatch: This is your emergency exit out of your building in case of extreme danger. There's a metal safety grid across the hatch (touch it to slide it vertically open or closed). Once exposed, the hatch will respond to a touch by unlocking itself and falling away from its frame. Time to make a quick exit. Don't worry about the hatch door, it will self-destruct a few minutes after it's been released. When you return to the base, you can regenerate a new hatch by touching the inside edge of the hatch's frame. Internal Walls: There's a few walls designated for internal use (i.e.not as an outside wall). The Up-Screen will slide a computer display out from a slot into position when touched - touch it again to slide it back in. The Twin Doorways have a single sliding door to allow for one-way crowd control. You can lock/unlock it with the command "lock twin door" or "unlock twin door". And more... There's a massive mesh heat exchanger with pulses of orange light that travel slowly around the conductive channels. And horizontally rotating energy spools, with built-in displays and lights. (Touch them to switch the rotation on/off). Several walls have moving animations, such as a sweeping radar scanner, a rotating warning light and multi-screen data display systems. You also get plenty of new corridor struts and wall braces. Some glow with an eerie light, while others are richly textured, curved sculptie buttresses. And they all look great. |
